Steve Godfrey

Steve joined Psion in London back in 1995 as a software engineer, after having worked at the BBC at TV Centre as an electronics engineer for 12 years.

Initially working on the Psion 3c and Siena projects, he moved on to the EPOC32 development team. He left Psion in 1997 to work for Purple Software for a year, and then self employed trading as SGSoftware, developing Monopoly for EPOC, following on from the 3a version he wrote back in 1994.

SGSoftware released PhoneMan for EPOC in October 1998, which quickly became one of the best selling applications available for EPOC, and has since been superseded by PhoneManPro.

SGSoftware was incorporated in April 2000 to form SGSoftware.com Ltd, offering its EPOC development services regularly to companies including Symbian Ltd and Psion Computers PLC.

In December 2000, SGSoftware.com Limited changed its name to Zenobyte Limited In October 2002, the company relocated to the Channel Island of Alderney.

Zenobyte is now concentrating on developing software for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as hosting and designing websites for companies based in Alderney trading as Alderney Web & IT Services.
